Ingredients
  

  • 1 bundle asparagus
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese freshly grated or powdered

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  • Clean the asparagus and pat dry. Cut about 1 inch of the bottom of the asparagus.
  • Place the asparagus in a bowl, sprinkle with salt, onion powder, garlic powder, olive oil, and freshly grated parmesan cheese.
  • Sprinkle salt, onion powder, garlic powder, olive oil, and freshly grated parmesan cheese over the asparagus.
  • Toss the asparagus with your hands until evenly coated with the seasonings.
  • Place asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Set them in the air fryer for 8 minutes at 400 degrees F.
  • Remove asparagus from the air fryer. Grate more parmesan cheese on top before serving.
  • Serve it with your favorite meal.

Notes

When purchasing the asparagus, choose the fresh ones for this recipe. The frozen one have extra water in them. They might not get crispy.
Be picky! Choose the asparagus that have plump and firm spears with tightly closed tips. They should be fresh green, not faded.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer pan. You have to keep the asparagus to one layer. This is how you keep enough circulation of the hot air to get the crispy ends.
Fully cover the asparagus spears with olive oil. This will help the seasoning stick to the spears which will definitely crisp.
