Hand Mixer


  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee

Chocolate sauce ingredients.

  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 3 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla


  • In a bowl, sift the dry ingredients
  • Add the eggs, oil and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix well with a hand mixer. The batter should look like a brownie batter.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk with instant coffee and gradually add it to the brownie batter. The batter should have a runny consistency.
  • Pour the batter into a greased cake pan (I used an 8×8 round cake pan) and bake in a preheated oven at 350 F for 35 minutes.

Chocolate Sauce:

  • Put a saucepan on medium heat and add the milk, flour, sugar and unsweetened cocoa power. Whisk very well.
  • Once the sauce has thickened, remove the saucepan from the stove and mix in the butter and vanilla extract.
  • Cover the Chocolate Sauce with plastic wrap and place in the fridge to cool down.
  • Your Chocolate Sauce is done!
