Ingredients
  

Stew meat

  • ¼ cup oil
  • 500 grams stew meat
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Fava bean

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 4 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons pepper paste
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cups fava beans freshly chopped
  • salt, and Aleppo pepper to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic finely chopped

Instructions
 

Pressure cook stew meat

  • Add ¼ cup of oil to the pressure cooker, add stew meat and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add 2 cups of hot water. Cook on high pressure for 45 minutes. Once cooked, strain the meat from the meat stock.

Cooking Fava beans

  • In a saucepan, add 2 tablespoons of oil, tomato paste, pepper paste, sauté for 3 minutes on medium heat until you have a beautiful red vibrant color.
  • Add finely chopped onions, chopped fava beans, salt and Aleppo peppers. Sauté for 5 minutes, and then add stew meat and strained meat stock.
  • Cover and cook for 10 minutes until fava beans are soft and cooked.
  • Sauté finely chopped garlic on medium heat for 2-3 minutes; pour it over the stew before serving. Enjoy fava bean stew with vermicelli rice.

If you can't find fresh fava beans use fresh green beans instead.
