Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe mango peeled and diced
  • 1 cup pineapple diced
  • 1 habanero pepper seeds removed and finely minced
  • ¼ cup red onion finely diced
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the diced mango, pineapple, habanero pepper, red onion, and cilantro.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice and honey until well combined. This will serve as the dressing for the salsa.
  • Pour the lime juice and honey dressing over the mango and pineapple mixture. Gently toss the ingredients together until they are evenly coated.
  • Season the salsa with salt to taste. Start with a small amount and gradually add more if needed, tasting as you go.
  • Once the flavors are well combined, cover the bowl and refrigerate the salsa for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Remove the salsa from the refrigerator and give it a quick stir before serving. This salsa can be enjoyed as a dip with tortilla chips or as a topping for grilled meats, tacos, or fish.

Notes

Note: Habanero peppers can be very spicy, so adjust the amount according to your personal preference. If you prefer a milder salsa, you can substitute the habanero pepper with a milder variety, such as jalapeño or serrano pepper.
