    Frequently Asked Questions

How do you reheat Ramadan Bread?

When the bread is fresh out of the oven, place a dry towel over it to keep it soft and warm. You can reheat it before serving by sprinkling it with water and placing it in a hot oven (180 C/ 350 F) for a few minutes.

How long does Ramadan Bread last?

It should be kept sealed at room temperature or colder to avoid mold. Room-temperature bread typically lasts 3–4 days if homemade. Refrigerating bread can extend its shelf life by 3–5 days, and you can also keep it in the freezer in ziplock bags for a month.

What is different about Turkish bread?

Turkish bread is similar to pita bread in that it does not have pockets. The round flat breads are made from a more leavened wheat dough than pita bread. It is typically eaten sliced and dipped into hummus, as a base for toppings, or as a sandwich.

How long does it take for the dough to double in size?

The rise time depends on the room temperature where you prove the dough. Typical times are 45 minutes for a 70° F room.

What to serve with Ramadan Bread?

This bread goes well with soups and salads on the iftar table, or it can be served with jam and butter for suhoor.
