    The best breakfast to-go!

With the Fall season just around the corner, our sedated craving for comfort food is seeping right into our taste buds. We look for a recipe that is easy, delicious, and comforting on cool days. Well, this is your sign to look no further! This banana bread recipe with chocolate chips and walnuts is decadent. It produces an incredibly fluffy, moist, and flavorful banana bread that is packed with buttery deliciousness and a deep banana flavor. This loaf makes for the perfect on-the-go breakfast for those rushed days, and a perfect companion to a steaming hot cup of coffee. A crowd pleaser, this Chocolate Chips and Walnuts Banana Bread recipe is the perfect reference for "edible happiness!"

How to Make Your Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Healthy

This is a way of making your guilty pleasure a little less "guilty". If you still want to indulge in a moist bite of this banana bread, but the extra calories are making your healthy plans go "bananas", then I may have a few solutions up my sleeve. For a healthier take, substitute your butter with coconut oil. You can also replace the white sugar with brown sugar, coconut sugar which has a low glycemic index, or any sugar-free substitute (stevia, monk fruit sweeteners, agave, or honey). Also, although I used all-purpose white flour in this recipe, whole wheat flour works wonders! And to end this section in the sweetest way, replace the chocolate chips with dark chocolate chips or lily’s sugar-free chocolate chips.

Moist, Sweet, and Oh So Yummy!

    Simply Irresistible!

Tips for the Best Banana Bread Recipe:

    • Always make sure your bananas are ripe. The riper your bananas, the sweeter your loaf will be. If your bananas are not ripe, simply place them in the over at 350°F - 177 °C for about 20 minutes, or until they are dark brown.
    • If you are not a fan of walnuts, you can replace them with a variety of options. Try the recipe with any kind of nuts, seeds, dried fruits, white chocolate chips, or caramel bites. Just alter those details according to your preferences.
    • Follow the directions! I wouldn't recommend skipping any step, or juggling the order mentioned. Stick to the recipe, especially when mixing the wet and dry ingredients. This order was created for a reason: to ensure the perfect results!

    Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I store banana bread in the fridge?

If you made a big loaf, and you feel that you will end up with extras, then save those yummy bites for a later time! Let your baked banana bread cool completely, then store it in a plastic wrap, an airtight container, or aluminum foil. It should keep in the fridge for about 1 week.

Why is my banana bread load chewy and dense?

Although it may seem like I am bluffing, but the honest reason for a dense and chewy banana bread loaf is over-mixing the batter. As you mix, the gluten begins to develop. If too much gluten develops, then you will end up with a chewy banana bread loaf.

Why did I end up with a messy falling loaf?

I guess we all know the answer to this question! As much as I understand the urgent need in tasting a heavenly bite right out of the oven, I can't stress enough the importance of allowing your loaf to rest for 10 minutes after it is done baking. Let those flavors sink in, take a deep breath, and prepare your favorite cup of coffee while your banana bread loaf rests.

Serve It with a Hot Cup of Coffee!
