    Milk-Free Chocolate Chips Muffins

Easy moist chocolate chip muffin recipe
    A classic!

I think the best part about muffins is that they are a socially acceptable cake. They are perfect for a to-go breakfast, a sweet treat after a long day, a snack, or something to decorate any dinner table with. You just can't go wrong with a sweet classic! These milk-free chocolate chips muffins are moist and filled to the brim with amazing flavors, textures, and melt-y chocolate bits. A family favorite, this Milk-Free Chocolate Chips Muffins recipe is simply divine!

How to Store the Milk-Free Chocolate Chips Muffins?

On the rare occasions where I am left with extras, here are a few solutions for those lonely chocolate chips muffins. If I am feeling neighbor-Iy, I gift some away to other muffin lovers. And most of the times, I just store them for later! Although these chocolate chip muffins are incredibly easy to make with simple home found ingredients, it is always fun storing the left out pieces for when the mood craves something sweet and tasty. Here's how you can store your chocolate chips muffins:

    • I wouldn't recommend popping these muffins in the refrigerator because that will dry them out. Just place the muffins in an airtight container, or a ziplock bag, at room temperature up to 5 days.
    • You can also freeze the muffins in the freezer for 3 months. Follow the same storing instructions, and you will be all set! When you are ready to eat a chocolate chip muffin, thaw it at room temperature, or place it in the microwave. This should do the trick!

    Once Upon a Muffin...

We have all been there! As you are cuddling your blanket, watching a rom-com, and enjoying a savory bite of chocolate chips muffins, an inner dialogue wins over your mind and makes you wonder: who came up with this thing? I mean...I am not necessarily a History fan, but I have to admit that I am slightly intrigued by this!

Well it is almost impossible to track back when the first muffin was made, but the first official recipe was printed out in the 18th century. After it became a huge hit all around the world, its popularity resulted in the creation of many nursery rhymes "The Muffin Man", inspired by the British culture of Englishmen strolling down streets holding a muffin accompanied by a steaming hot cup of tea. Nowadays, because the recipe evolved, cupcakes took on many variations.

Check out the diverse flavors, textures, and aromas of muffins in the nearest coffee shop, or your local bakery. However, no matter how much it changes, the distinct flavor of comforting goodness will always linger within the layers!

Tips for the Best Chocolate Chips Muffins:

    • If you are looking for a picturesque treat to brag about among the food community, then save some chocolate chips to sprinkle on top of the muffins before baking to make them look nicer.
    • If you don’t have cupcake liners, just make sure to grease the muffin tins. It's saddening when a perfectly tasty muffin gets burnt, so pay attention to avoid any burnouts!
    • Use an ice cream scoop or an ¼ cup measuring cup to scoop the batter into the muffin tins.
    • Add half-and-half or milk lastly, and fold for that rich and fluffy consistency.

    Frequently Asked Questions:

Can nuts be added to chocolate chips muffins?

Yes, you can add nuts to the chocolate chip muffins. Mix nuts with chocolate chips and coat them with flour so they don’t sink to the bottom. Walnuts, almonds, and pecans work great in this recipe!

How do I know my chocolate chips muffins are done?

See, because these muffins contain chocolate chips figuring out when they are done is a bit tricky. You have to insert a toothpick in the center to find out whether your muffins are done. However, because they would be filled with melting chocolate, your toothpick may not come out completely clean. Melted chocolate or a few loose crumbs are fine, just make sure you don't get raw batter.

Can I add milk to chocolate chips muffins?

This recipe contains no milk; however, if you prefer adding milk to the recipe, then simply replace half and half with milk. It is really up to you. Alter according to your preferences, and enjoy!
